On the Powerme login page, kindly input your mobile number on the field labeled ‘phone’. A signup page will be displayed on your screen. Fill in your name, your email address (optional) and create a password you can easily remember.
Please note that your login details will be saved to enable easy access on your next purchase with that same device.
o Enter your registered mobile number and your password then click on ‘login’. If you had used a device to purchase electricity at least once, your login details would have been saved and you won’t be required to login.
As a new user, you’d be required to input your mobile number. A signup page will be displayed on your screen where you’ll fill in your name, email address (optional), preferred password and click on “register”. Your login details are automatically saved for the next time you purchase electricity on the same device (phone, computer etc.).
As a returning user on another device, login using your registered mobile number and password.
Once you login, the order page will be displayed on your screen. Select your state; enter your meter number, the amount you wish to vend for and select the payment type (Mastercard/visa card, verve card and USSD/bank transfer) and click on continue to payment information.
The name and address registered on the electricity distribution company’s system, the meter number, and the total amount will be displayed on the review page to check if the details are valid. Click on pay, fill in the required card information if you are paying with your card, you could also select an option to either “pay with card” or ‘pay with bank’.
Once you successfully pay, your token is sent as an SMS to your registered mobile number, your email (if you provided an email address when you created an account) and also saved as transactions on your account.

Kindly register your card for online transactions. There is a 99% chance your card would work. However, you could also pay with bank. On the payment page, click on ‘pay with bank’ select your bank name and fill in the required information. Some banks will require you to provide your account number. Check that the following information has been filled correctly: you entered all card information correctly.

You could also select the USSD/bank transfer payment option, select your bank name and provide the required information.
Token is always sent to you through SMS. But sometimes, due to network delay issues which is beyond our control and totally dependent on the telecommunication companies (or if your mobile number was switched off or unavailable at that particular moment the SMS was sent out or your number has been registered on DND (do not disturb), you might not receive the SMS.
The token is also sent via email if you provided an email address when you created an account on powerme. The token and other details of the transaction are sent to your email. You can update your email address by clicking on view profile and providing your email address in the email field and click on “update profile”.

No please, you can vend for multiple meter numbers. All you need to do is edit your previously saved meter number from your account and input the new meter number you would like to vend for. The top five (5) meter numbers you purchase for, would be saved on your account, alongside the name and account. Next time you wish to purchase just select the meter number you want to vend for.

This could happen as a result of the following reasons:
The purchase was for the wrong meter number. Kindly confirm you are loading the token on the right meter.
The meter has not yet been activated- an activation code will be required from the distribution company.
There has been a change in your tariff index.
